Stacey’s yoga journey began in 1997. After suffering from a chronic illness that left her physically down for two years, her lifelong battle with anxiety and depression reached an all-time low. She credits “something greater than herself” for guiding her to yoga and its healing possibilities. Almost immediately after beginning her practice, she started to heal. Healing remains the core motivation behind both her personal practice and teaching.
Stacey began teaching in 2001, offering free classes to the community. After nine years, she opened Blue Yoga Nyla in the Park Hill neighborhood of North Little Rock. Many of the individuals who started their yoga journey with her all those years ago are still practicing with her today.
Deeply committed to serving others, Stacey focuses on healing the mind, body, and spirit. She specializes in working with special populations, including individuals dealing with trauma, addiction, and grief. Her studio, Blue Yoga Nyla, serves as a refuge for the “walking wounded”, offering a wide variety of classes and a pay-what-you-can option for daytime studio sessions.
With over 21 years of experience teaching senior adults, Stacey has developed a deep understanding of the aging body and unique insights into the journey of those who begin yoga later in life.
