Erin is an inspiring outdoor educator, leading foraging treks and teaching foraging classes with a rich blend of expertise and enthusiasm. A Certified Forager, Certified Mushroom Specialist, and NOLS Wilderness Medicine alumna, she brings deep knowledge of the wild to her teachings, enhanced by her skills as a self-taught chef and passionate wild food enthusiast. Through her Wild Food Urban and Backwoods Treks and classes on cooking with wild foods, she shares her love for nature’s bounty. An avid hiker and rock climber, she’s at home on rugged trails and uses her forest bathing training to add a mindful dimension to her explorations of nature’s edible wonders. Happily married for over 33 years, Erin also treasures her role as a mother of five and grandmother of three. With a wealth of experience and contagious passion, she invites students to discover the art of foraging with confidence, curiosity, and a deep connection to the natural world.
