Embark on a one-of-a-kind foraging identification adventure! Led by Erin, a Certified Forager and Certified Mushroom Specialist, this hike through Lake DeGray State Park blends outdoor exploration with hands-on learning. As we traverse the trails, we’ll identify wild foods along the way—discussing which parts are edible, the best times to harvest, and how to spot poisonous look-alikes. You’ll gain practical skills in plant and tree identification basics, plus insights into what’s available seasonally in your region. Whether you’re a novice or a nature enthusiast, this trek offers a fun, accessible way to connect with the wild and uncover its edible treasures. Dress for the trail, bring water, and get ready to see the forest through a forager’s eyes!  Please note, this is NOT a gathering trek.
